Here we are at AQC 07! This was a big quilting show that was held in Melbourne, Australia, in February 2007.
From left to right, we have quilt designer Bronwyn van't Hof from Flying Clog Creations, then Marita Jones the RuleSteady lady, then my 13 yo daughter Jennifer Abela then me! Christine Abela from Gecko Gully, having a slight wardrobe malfunction at the waist. Don't we look gorgeous in our Civil War style outfits? We were promoting the Dear Jane quilt you can see behind Jenny, so we thought we would dress the part. We all have large crinoline petticoats on under our dresses, which are a lot bigger than they look here, because we are all squashed together for the photo.
Here is the lovely Bronwyn, with the gorgeous Marita in the background, showing you about half our stand, with her quilt transport bags in the foreground on the front of the table, the silk threads in their display case, and EQ6 on the computer. The quilts along the back wall, are, from left to right, Strawberry Swirl from Cottage Quilt Designs, Wild Thymes (the black one), Cheating Jane, then Wholecloth Quilt from Patches and Stitches in two colours and finally The Briar and the Rose also from Patches and Stitches draped.
And here is Marita again, showing her children the left hand end of the stand, which featured a selection of Bronwyn's quilts on the side wall next to Strawberry Swirl from Cottage Quilt Designs. We also had a selection of Clover products, which sold really well because we were lucky enough to be positioned right opposite the Clover demonstration team! |
