Town and Country Patchwork is a wonderful new software package that gives you 30 different quilt patterns, all for either foundation piecing or traditional template piecing.  The designs are based around the "streetscape" idea - lots of buildings, flowers and trees, with wonderful  extras like trains, a tractor and even a plane.

It is very reasonably priced, and is a stand-alone product, which means you don't need any other software to run it.

Town and Country Patchwork is made by Electric Quilt, the people who bought you EQ6, so you know it is great quality!  It doesn't allow you to design your own blocks (you need EQ5 or EQ6 for that), but you can move blocks around between quilt layouts, or scan in your own fabrics to see how they will look, to create your own unique masterpiece.

If you do own EQ5 or EQ6, you can open the Town and Country projects in EQ5 or EQ6.

It is very easy to use, with built-in videos to teach you how.  And it also includes a lesson on how to do foundation piecing, to get you started with this very accurate method.

Of course, you can print off the foundation patterns or the templates, and Gecko Gully has just the right products for this too - Foundation Piecing Paper and Template Card.

I first saw this beautiful software at the Australasian Quilt Convention in February, and was REALLY impressed!

It is not an add-on for EQ5 or EQ6 - it stands alone, so you don't need to already own EQ5 to run it. And it is very reasonably priced at only $67 $Australian.

Note: Prices include postage within Australia - please email for a quote if overseas.

It contains 30 gorgeous projects that you can make using either paper piecing or traditional piecing (using templates).

It does not allow you to design your own blocks (you need EQ5 or EQ6 for that), but you can move blocks from one project to another, and scan in your own fabrics to see how they will look.

I can't wait to make my first Town and County quilt!

Here's what the EQ web site says about it:

This easy-to-use software is perfect for fans of paper piecing, new quilters and new computer users. Learn from popular authors, Myra Harder and Cori Derksen, as they share their charming designs plus step-by-step instructions for paper piecing. Use the designs as Cori and Myra suggest, or add your own personal touches.

Included in the program are help videos, paper-piecing instructions for all 30 projects, a printable user manual with fun lessons, and so much more. Follow the steps below and you will create the most beautiful Town & Country Patchwork quilts in no time!

Note: Prices include postage within Australia - please email for a quote if overseas.

And don't forget - you will need either foundation piecing papers or template card to print your patterns on.  Both available from Gecko Gully!
