A quick note

There are two things that I am often asked, which I thought I should explain here. First, I am booked well in advance - usually at least a couple of months.  You can see my bookings on the Bookings page. I only work on one web site per week, so I can do a good job of each one.  In rare circumstances, I might work on a couple at a time, but I don't like to do that often. So if you are thinking about asking me to build a web site for you, please be aware that there might be a wait.  BUT there is something you can (in fact you must) do while you are waiting, which leads me to the second thing I want to explain.

I am responsible for the way your site looks - the graphics and the layout - and for making sure it all works the way you want it to.  YOU are responsible for the content of the site. This means you will be typing in the information you want on your home page, and on the other information pages.  If you have a shopping cart site, you will be responsible for adding the categories, pictures and products to the site. This will take you some time.  Don't panic - you will get a training manual to teach you how to do it.  If you want to see how hard/easy it is, you will find a link in the pdf to a couple of test sites where you can play (you get the pdf by filling the mailing list boxes on the right side of the page). The reason YOU need to learn how to do this is because then YOU will later be able to update YOUR site whenever you want to.  You don't want to have to keep running back to me to do your updates.  Because you do your own updates, I am able to keep the price low - no ongoing "maintenance" charges.
